Standard Manuscript Format
A standard manuscript format template for short stories that plays nicely with both LibreOffice and Word.

Description
It is difficult to create a document using SMF in Writer that works properly with both LibreOffice and Word. I have managed it by initially creating the document in Word and editing it in Writer. You must save the document as .doc for the compatibility to work. The only thing that doesn't work properly is the page number font in the header, which defaults to Times New Roman. If you prefer Times New Roman to Courier, you could just change it all to that though. The page format is set to A4. If you are submitting in North America, you may want to change this to Letter. I hope this is useful!
