(New Testament) and 1610 A.D. (Old Testament) to assist spell checking of documents containing Biblical names or quotations.

Project Description

The Douay-Rheims Version (DRV) English-translation of the Latin Vulgate Bible is one of several translations that has influenced the development of the English language over the past four centuries. To install: Simply download the .dic file and place under C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 5\share\wordbook (or the equivalent in your installation) The extent to which the Catholic DRV translation of the New Testament (1582 A.D.) influenced the later Protestant translation of the King James Bible (1604 to 1611 A.D.) has been the subject of debate among theologians and scholars. This spelling dictionary extension takes no position on such debates -- it is merely a list of words used in the DRV to assist in spell checking documents that quote the Douay-Rheims Version of the Bible.
