FontsSubstTableExporter
A tool to create an extension embedding the fonts replacement table, for easy duplication or backup.
latest release: 2024-03-18 22:31:46
Description
Fonts substitution table exporter can create a settings extension from the current fonts replacement table, as displayed in Tools > LibreOffice > Fonts.
Installing the created extension just duplicates the template machine settings to the target one.
This extension may also be used as a means of backing that configuration up.
The extensions comes with a single-button toolbar and can be found in the Tools > Addons menu.
Usage:
- On the template machine, manually set the fonts replacement table to your liking.
- Run FontsSubstTableExporter and create the configuration extension.
- On the target PC, just run/install the new configuration extension.
The fonts substitution table is now updated on that machine.
Note that removing the configuration extension will actually remove the copied fonts replacement table. If you want to safely install a template fonts substitution table on a bunch of machines, I'd encourage to install under an administrator account (aka extension "shared install mode"). Thus users won't be able to remove the configuration extension.
Thanks to Heiko Tietze for his Custom palette export extension which I used as a source of inspiration :)

Tested under Linux and Windows 10, using LibreOffice v.5, 6 and 7.
