Polyluma Business Report

1 0

A professional business report template suitable for grayscale printing.

Project Description

You can use this template to produce a formal business report or perhaps a business proposal. It will work well with Zotero if you add your bibliography under the "Works Cited" heading. Here are some tips to make the most of this template:

  • Install the OpenType versions of the Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum fonts. They are available for download from SourceForge. If you use Windows, you will need 7-Zip to extract the archive before installing the fonts.
  • Use LibreOffice's Styles system for formatting. By using styles, you can easily apply the same formatting rules to all the headings, subheadings, and sub-subheadings in the body of your report (for example). I recommend opening the Styles sidebar by going to View → Styles, and then double-clicking to select the appropriate style when you need to switch paragraph styles. The styles are hierarchically organized according to the type of page (title page, executive summary page, body page, etc.) they are used on.
  • Choose between the memorandum and letter formats for your letter of transmittal. A typical report won't have both. The filler text in the template itself explains more.
  • Change the background for the title page to something more relevant to your report. To do so, open the Styles sidebar (described above), click the page icon at the top of the sidebar to switch to showing page styles, right-click on the style called "Cover Page," select Modify, and change the settings under the Area tab.
