Basic templates for right-to-left (RTL) documents in Persian (Farsi) or Arabic

Project Description

These are a set of very basic templates, all based on the default template of LibreOffice Writer.

All styles in these templates are customized to have a direction set to right-to-left (RTL). Several subtle changes are applied to many styles so that you can typeset a flawless document in Persian, Arabic, or similar RTL scripts.

They feature correct formatting of

  • footnotes
  • image captions
  • page numbers
  • numbered lists
  • bullet points

The Ebook template is optimized for typical smartphone display sizes.

These templates contain (embed) the following typefaces, all of which released under various free and open source licenses:

  • Sahel
  • Vazir
  • Vazir Code

For more information about these fonts, please refer to their official project page.
