ODStoICS converter

4 0

You got a list of appointments as tabulated data and you want to import it to your digital calendar suite? This template helps to export your information to .ics format used by a most calendar applications, e.g. lightning or google calendar.

Project Description

A table of appointments is converted automatically to .ics compatible Text. In my opinion, the converter is really not perfect, but with a little help you can convert everythin to your needs, and it is the one and only. Features: Summer- and Wintertime is considered but not exactly implemented. Just the date is checked, not the daytime. This may cause time shift in rare cases. Currently only Middle european time is applied, if you are not living in europe you shoud correct the offset to calculate UTC. Appointments length is 2 h in standard. If no starting time is given the event is considered to be all day long. A alert 30 min in advance is added to all appointments. Usage: Fill in your appointments to the "ods" sheet and apply the right handed formulas to all lines. The total number of events is calculated automatically in the macro. Start conversion by klicking the "Start" button, or run the macro "odstoics" manually. The output in "ics" sheet has to be copied&pasted; to a text file with .ics file extension for import to calendar software. Have Fun. Niko
