Project Description

Version 2.0.3 2008-10-13

Provides six functions to insert date or time or timestamp, as text / string or field / value, in Writer / Calc,
Pre-formatted to user needs ( ISO8601 format, adjustable) with German locale strings, English format notation in source: just un-comment.

This extension will install a Basic library/modules with the BASIC macros. They can be used for keyboard shortcut or customized toolbar assignment, or to run them from menu.

For Calc documents, you can configure to overwrite (replace) or add insertion to any existing cell content. Position (pre/post) and separators can be defined. User-defined text can be added, too, to get something like "Call entered at: 2007-10-24 12:34:56"

Extension will install six macro routines to insert the date, time or a timestamp
into a Writer- or Calc-Document
(as field/value or fixed text).
Output format is ISO8601: Year-Month-Day
This could be changed in source code
After installation you have a BASIC library "DateTime2"
In module "DateTime2" you will find the routines.
Datum_Feld: is date as field or value
Datum_Text: is date as fixed text
Zeit_Feld: is time as field or value
Zeit_Text: is time as fixed text
Zeitstempel_ xxx: to insert a timestamp, format Year-Month-Day hh:mm

Configuration

If not using the macros with a non-German LibreOffice: You have to adjust the code signs according to your installation settings: code uses german symbol “J” for year and “T” for day.
You find possible date format codes for your installation in F1 Help.
English date codes are provided in the coding, but have to be activated by un‑commenting the appropriate lines.
If inserting a field the value is inserted “fix”, so it will not update on reload of the document.
The two “_Text” routines inserts date and time as pure text.
Configuration for selected single cell(s) in Calc
If the switch "cDateTime_Calc_Add2Text_Switch" is set to TRUE any content will be retained.
The content of "cDateTime_Calc_Add2Text_Position" sets the position.
The content of "cDateTime_Calc_Add2Text_Separator" will be placed in between as a separator.
