Description

Works in 5.0.x, 5.1,.x, 5.2.x ConvertTextToNumber replaces numbers and dates, formatted as text, with real numbers. Choices can be made about marking of cells, including cells with non- default decimal separators, conversion of dates, and more. As a result of the conversion, the text cells will become real numbers, and then will be counted as expected in formulas Calc. This extension adds the tool bar 'CT2N' to Calc only. The screen shot shows it all. Available languages: Spanish, Swedish, Russian, French, English, Italian and Dutch. Translations for other languages would be gladly accepted. Please note: We get requests about all kind of clean-up actions, that can be necessary when copying data from a website. These are not the original problem that this extension addresses. However, since it would make a good extra functionality, we kindly thank for this input and plan the ideas for a future version.

What it does it does competently.
Is there any possibility it might convert a text structure like this "2021-12-04 6:16:34 AM" to this 2021-12-04 06:16:34 - which is the format for an =NOW()expression

Most useful if you run into "my numbers and dates are just text" problems.

A very useful extension indeed, when it works, which is most of the time. I haven't quite figured why it sometimes informs that 'nothing to convert' when there clearly is a lot to convert. Probably something I'm missing to do with prior formatting.
I find this extension most useful.
