This extension will add two new items to the File ► Templates menu:
New menu items are:
File ► Templates ► Change template (current document)...
File ►Templates ►Change template (folder)...
In both cases you have the choices:
set a template (which replaces a former one)
deactivate the template: future changes of the template will not affect the document
reactivate the template: changes of the template will again affect the document
cut the connection to template completely
There is a help in English, German and French, available from buttons in the dialogs.
This extension didn’t work for some years, the extension DocumentTemplateChanger was a substitute, now it is possible to add a new version to the original extension. Please remove an old installation with version less than 2.0.0 manually if there is one.

Version 1.2.6 didn't work any longer for some years, the extension "DocumentTemplateChanger" was provided as a substitute. This is now moved here as a new release.
