Swedish spelling dictionary (Den stora svenska ordlistan)

A commercial-grade Swedish spelling dictionary based on DSSO (Den Stora Svenska Ordlistan).

Project Description

A commercial-grade Swedish spelling dictionary built from the DSSO (Den Stora Svenska Ordlistan) database. There are two versions of this tool: one for the sv_SE locale and one for the sv_FI locale. The latter is a superset of the former; the extensions are names and a few words that are commonly used in the sv_FI locale. The only other difference is that the sv_SE version is much more conservative when generating spelling suggestions. Therefore, the suggestions will seldom be confusing. The sv_FI version is much better at finding the correct spelling suggestion to misspelled compound words but will also display more "strange" suggestions. Note that Swedish residents who prefer the extended suggestions, and who are capable of ignoring those suggestions that might seem strange, should use the sv_FI version.
